Day 66: Maggie is learning German!

The other day in the car on the way home from Bratislava the girls were asking for stories about Nick's childhood, Oma's childhood, and Oma's mother's childhood. This lead to Nina asking what's the German word for great-grandmother, and Nick said uroma, with ur, pronounced "uhr" and being a prefix that approximately means "pre," and oma obviously meaning grandmother.

Maggie heard "uroma" and said, "Clock grandma?!!" and laughed riotously.

But I was impressed, because that's perfect translation of "uhr oma," because "uhr" means "clock" or "time." Go little Maggie!
