These days the girls each sleep in their own twin bed, but the beds are pushed up right next to each other, so they look like one big king-sized bed. But I make them up separately, with their own sheets and blankets, and that kind of keeps Maggie from rolling all over Nina. Well, the other night I went in to their room to check on them before I went to bed, and there they were, holding hands in their sleep! It was too precious--Nina had her right arm outstretched to Maggie, and Maggie had her left outstretched to Nina. I would have loved to get a picture, but I didn't want to risk disturbing them with the flash.
In another incident, Maggie told me yesterday that I am lovelier than 5 cookies. Which is just about the most adorable compliment I can imagine.
Today Nina went back to Newburyport with Aunt, Unk, and Chester. Boy do we miss her! We called her this evening to tell her about the funny things Marley was doing and Maggie said, "I miss you so much! We're going to come get you as soon as we wake up! And go to Dairy Queen!"
The Dairy Queen part was news to me, but it sounds like a pretty good idea! The plan right now is to take off shortly after we wake up, then spend the afternoon on the Plum Island beaches with Nina and Isabelle. Should be a fantastic day! We'll head home with Nina after dinner and should be back in Boothbay by bedtime.

It was! I so badly wanted a picture, but I would have needed the flash, and I just didn't want to risk it.
